We are effectively out of our three-song EP featuring the songs "Destroy Destroyer", "This Condition", and "Keep the Aspidistra Flying". The band no longer has any copies available, and we will not be doing another pressing. However, if you are interested in this bit of Hinterland history, and you live in Vancouver, you can seek out a copy at Zulu Records, Scratch Records, or Red Cat Records. The EP is also available from Tonevendor. And if you bug Ryan at Masstransfer, he'll probably sell you one.

What I'm listening to right now: The New Shape of Your Head by Waterline Drift, an excellent band from San Diego. The Cure meets Slowdive? Something like that. They were planning to come up and play with us in Vancouver, but the cost was prohibitive. Hopefully, though, we can get them up here next time they tour!

I heard one of our songs on CJSF today. It was a neat experience, because I wasn't expecting it. In the Vancouver area, tune in to 90.1 FM. Elsewhere, listen online.

Speaking of ZeD, "Portrait of My Invention" has been chosen as the featured piece of music on the site today. Surf over and check it out.

Also, we were just added to an Mp3.com station called Constellations by Candlelight, where the slogan is "Music for under the stars." Sounds idyllic, doesn't it?

I just updated our section on CBC's ZeD site, uploading the songs "Divebomb", "Tiger Tiger", and "Portrait of My Invention".

Saturday, August 16, 2003

We have been added to two more Mp3.com stations, The Chemical Sleep and The Jupiter Trance Mission Project. There's some great music to be found at these stations, so check 'em out.

Here are the approximate set times for our show at the Pic tonight:

10:30 - Parlour Steps
11:45 - Hinterland
1:00 - The R.a.d.i.o

Our upcoming show at the Pic got a nice plug in the Vancouver Buzz column on Chartattack.com.

This weekend our total number of plays on Mp3.com went over the 4,000 mark. Thanks, everyone!

I just noticed that our song "Divebomb" has been added to an MP3.com station called Today Is a Good Day to Die. The station's slogan is "No happy songs here...your suicide soundtrack." I don't think they really got the point of the song, but I'm glad they got something out of it.

Our producer's band, Jonathan Inc., will be playing at the Railway Club tonight (August 7) with a nifty combo from Seattle called the Pale. You should go.
