There's a lot of good stuff happening this weekend in the world of live music, such as shows by Spoon and Longwave. Being the contrary sort of fellow that I am, however, I think I'll go to this one instead:
Friday, June 17 - 9:00pm
Blim and Paul Bennett Presents:
An evening of textural music performances with the local talents of:
Anomalous Disturbances
Ambient soundscapes with modified guitar improvisations, electronics, found-sounds, spoken word and miscellaneous appropriations.

Mark Brady (Samplers), Steven Calvert (FXs), Khan Lee (Acoustics)
A Weak Link in the Signal Chain (betrays our intention)
Live Loopin' (triggers your toes)
Processed Textures (draws you near)
Sweet & Sour Acoustics (curls your frown upside down)

Bergy Seltzer
Iced-soda hymns performed by Paul Bennett with various tonal and percussive objects.
$5 @ 9:00pm (doors)
