Did you know that "All Shook Up" by Elvis Presley was the number-one single in Canada on May 27, 1957? Or that Devo's "Whip It" peaked at number three on November 1, 1980? Well, I didn't know any of that stuff until I found this site, which archives the Canadian pop singles charts from May of 1957 to June of 1986. Why it doesn't go beyond those dates is anyone's guess, but if you're as a big a geek as I am, you'll find it fascinating.
Also of interest to music-trivia nerds is Julian's RockList Site, which is just what the name implies. This British site mostly lists critics' favourite albums and singles dating as far back as 1952, but also features lists of songs banned by the BBC and other noteworthy trivia.
